I mounted mine on top of the master brake cylinder on a piece of aluminium, stuck a piece of velcro on both bits and hey presto.....also if it starts to rain just put a plastic bag over it with an elastic band and its waterproof!

There is another product out there called DUAL LOCK. It's a 3M product and works a little like velcro but is way more secure. I use it for lots of things - like helmet cam etc...

You can get it from Ram Solutions.

I'll have a look for that stuff as I just found the perfect place to mount my detector. On each main side fairing there is a big flat piece, so then I can put the detector behind the front fairing to keep it out of the wind. Then all I have to do is rangi up some wiring an I'm done.

Hi Smokeu, at the next WNR I'll show you the mount I made if you are interested. Since my bike has bars I've made a mount using a push bike reflector mount. I removed the reflector lens and fixed some aluminium plate to it. I also use the 3M Dual lock like slofox, it's a great product.

Heres a couple of pics I have taken in the past, has it's rain hat on. lol

And yes, the camera on the motorway bridge still triggers ka band

RAM solutions are fantastic, but youll pay a lot of money - each component is like $30 and youll need 4, then youll need a plastic case, some 3m dual lock, and a spare power cable to butcher to hardwire it - all up a lot of money.

Just get a tank mount of ebay? good for cameras too, one component, just add a plastic case and a hardwire cable and ya good to go.

those plastic covers are Shit in my opinion. Lost the top of mine one night, found the radar detector hanging by its wires. Now I use a modified Pelican case attached to a ram mount

I get mine from work. $15 for two 1m strips, I use it in my cars etc. Much better to use than stupid suction cups. Also take strips with me to use in rental vehicles etc. Great stuff.

No SmokeU, but we'll figure it out. I got the silver CB1000R, and i know what you you have

Last time I checked ages ago (2-3 years - before Ram Solutions ever stocked it), basically no-one sold Dual Lock.

Bought an entire roll (100m or something) from Attwoods
