My escort passport sits on my generic tank camera/gps mount and attached with heavy duty velcro from bunnings. i have to peel it off quite hard and it definetly will not come off by itself. However, I am getting pissed off with no tank bag and the hardwire earphone jack cable flapping about everywhere. So, I'm considering mounting it either insdie the fairing somewhere. But getting it to sit horizontal willbe tough, or just sticking it in me tank bag and see how that goes. With clip ons a handbar mount was no go so im pretty limited really. Does it matter so much if the detector is not totally horizontal?

Of course the disadvantage of these trial systems is going to have to mean going outr for a long long ride and stick to the speed limit on the open road looking for cops.

My escort picks up cops from miles away, round corners too, never failed me yet.

Did you clean down the surfaces with alcohol first? Also with the 3M adhesives, they need about 24 hours to cure and after that they are more likely to rip your paint off if you try removing it! I've never had a problem with it sticking. Oh, if the Dual lock is coming apart with the RD attached, then you may not be using the heavy duty one! Talk to Ram Solutions.

I did clean the surfaces with alcohol first. The Dual Lock sticks to the bike well, it's just that the Dual Locks come apart from one another.

I'd say it was too light a grade. Try the Dual Lock 250/250 !
