    Where to for an hour or two about AK?

    Most likely this has been asked before so if there is a link please let me know.

    With an hour or two to kill where is your favourite short ride around Auckland. Suitable for a short cruise at nana-like speeds so as to enjoy the scenery.

    Ive done Piha, Kumeu/Riverhead, Muriwai and preferance is for seal and little traffic to ruin the ride.

    Any suggestions?

    Kawakawa bay (1hr each way). Can go further up the road for a longer ride and return via SH1. Or a quick thrash up SH16 to wellsford (just over 2.5hrs round trip).
