Spoke to a Kawasaki shop in Pukekohe... My KDX is an '06' and as much as I can gather the genuine part (PK1499) hasn't changed from about 93 onwards. Evidently Wiseco changed their part numbering system for pro lite (previously protru or something like that) So that part no. doesn't go thru to the post 96 KDX's. Was also told there was a different crowning on the later models pistons? Short story is that it may fit but it may not. I'd rather be safe. Bloody good deal for someone tho'... just a bugger it's not me! Good luck....

genuine numbers are different, but sometimes the genuines ones vary a very little bit, and aftermarket will run the same ones through the whole year range
