Out of hamilton via some devious roads attempting to follow the main trunk line to taihape(try it sometime) ... nice overnighter in taihape ... and off to enjoy annie .. even sealed this is a fabulous road... about 20 k of gravel remain... and through napier to mahia for the night ... morere and the hot pools for the night ... book accommodation through the pools.. great cabins ... more like motels and $90... a few backroads exploring mahia peninsula and nth for breakfast in gizzy...awesome road... up thru matawai and on to the motu road ... no finer place to be... and ohiwa for the night in the campground.. final day and heading for home ... round ohiwa ... over stanley rd .. taneatua... murupara... waikite valley... ohakuri...whakamaru...waipapa... home..............

I have done this trip, but in reverse. Great roads and tracks. Glad you enjoyed it
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....
