I borrowed a child road helmet yesterday, and spent about an hour taking the kids in my street for rides on the motorcycle up and down the street. Probably took about 10 of them for rides in the end.
None of them had ever been on a road bike before. A couple had been on off-road quads.
Funnily enough, the thing that most concerned them seemed to be doing U-turns at the end of the street. Ended up doing three point turns (turned and rolled towards the curb, then pushed the bike backwards to go straight ahead again) to make them all happy.
Talk about excited. I think I may have breed a few new motorcyclists in decades to come. Plus gave them good stories to tell on Monday when they all go back to school. Plus hopefully there will be more adults (aka parents) supportive of motorcyclists as well now.
So, done any good deeds using your motorcycle lately?
