    Honda CRF250R - KTM 350 SX-F - Yamaha YZ450F

Looks like its still a toss up - getting back to choosing which bike you want for your type of riding.

For me the 450 is a waste of power and wheelspin, I'd be fighting it all day.
The 250 would be a great machine but it says you can't get lazy on it?
    So I guess if I bought a 4 stroke I'd have to be a 350 for many of the same reasons I bought the 200 instead of a CR250 or 300exc or 450 4stroke?

Guess I'll stick to the 2hundy until they do direct injection or something??

Each to their own! I just thought the article would be interesting to you guys
    Happy reading!

On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

I was lucky enough to have a work ride day a few weeks ago and had a few demo bikes there.

CRF250R - my bike, good all rounder,
CRF450R - too much power, would lift the front wheel and when I binned it on a hill it was a mission to get it back upright and running
YZF250 - similar to my bike, couldn't notice anything overly different
350SXF - awesome. Felt as light as my 250R but with a noticeable increase in power while having very smooth but quick power delivery.

If I had the money I'd have a 350SXF but for it would be hard to ever justify buying a brand new bike. Also the 350SXF has a bit of a waiting list due its popularity.

If your racing a 250 you wouldn't want to be lazy on it, just like any machine you need to keep it in the power.

But for trail riding a 250F has plenty of torque to pull you out of most situations through out the rev range , even if not in the right gear.

Out of all the bikes I've ridden Rupes 250 was the best I have ridden re weight Vs power! I still like my exc but if I had to buy a 4stroke a CRF or KXF250 would certainly be in my list to try as well as a 350!
