Have a r25 backpack and US10 and US20. Brilliant stuff. The backpack is simply the best, and the only one I have used where you don't notice the weight when you are riding. The US ones are waterproof. The backpack is water resistant.

Can't speak highly enough of Kreiga products for bikers. Pricey but good!

For AUS$195 i would be looking around at what is here. my camel back was only NZ$200 when rebal sport had a sale, including 3L bladder.
Can't tell that its on, even fully loaded (i have had 3, 2l milk bottles in it) it has straps to compress the whole thing and even tucked in on the gixxer it doesn't get it the way of the helmet like i have found with a few others.

I have a camelback and have never had any water get inside it (I don't use a cover) even in heavy downpours.

I just like to make sure when carrying my laptop, but no can't say any water has got in without the cover either.

Not me. The Kriega stuff is made for motorcyclists, designed specifically for what we want. If I was running the coast to coast, or whatever, I might visit Rebel Sport but otherwise no thanks.

The Kriegas look awesome, I don't think they are that expensive for a good quality product thats gonna last years, plus free delivery too

I have backpacks here, big and small, bought for tramping. On a bike they're as much use as tits on a fish.

The latest addition is a Crumpler which is primarliy for transporting the laptop, I have used that on the moped, it doesn't seem to interfere with the helmet. It's nicely made but it's not waterproof.

The Kriega products form a complete system, the various items attach directly to the bike or to each other. The backpack is designed to be worn on a bike, with a helmet. There's no comparison to a pack designed for something else.

As always you pays your money and you makes your choice.

Oh I'm not knocking the Kriega products I am just saying that just becuse it is made for bikes, it doesn't mean there isn't anything better.

Backpacks are made for one purpose and that is to carry things on your back, the sport/activity you use it for is the controling factor on whether it is any good.

Like you i have many backpack of all shapes and sizes, some i would not even try to use while riding and some i would never use for tramping, but in all the backpacks i have used on the bike the "camelback" one I use now has to have been the best one yet, you forget its on full or empty, slow riding or fast (prduct test at over 200) and to simply dismiss it out of hand becuse it was purchased from a sports shop on sale is just......................nonsensical.

I would go and have a look at some the waterproof bags you can get from the Kayak shops.
They seem to be the most waterproof logically
