Mackley is on our list along with an exploratory trip too for our 9 day adv ride 5th feb on WOH HOH

So we are staying in the camping ground anyway, be cool to catch up if we can.

Mackley River crossing has been quite low lately. Caught up with a guy in Westport this morning who's just bought a XT660R & for his first adv ride went right through OK.

As you come in to reefton from springs junction way its the first pub/cafe on your right....

There is some very cool cafes and eating places there including thepoms one, in fact Reefton has great facilities all round for 4x4, adv biking, MTBing etc.

I did the bottled lightning rally there a couple of years ago and had a great ride and some good drinking with some good guys so have fond memories of reefton....
