Cool, thanks. No need for me to be there before 11!Nikau cafe would be a good rendevous point.
The faster guys might be going through there earlier, (say 11ish on Sat, the relaxed group should be there around noon).
Two access points. Hwy 22, then turn down Waikaretu Rd, or gravel access up Te Akau coast rd, and turn onto the bottom of Waikaretu.
And last time I was there the bike was a bit bent and we were both covered in mud... hope they've forgotten!

No flash luxury pub meals for us, plus, the pub will be that busy, I think you'll be waiting an hour for the food to arrive.

Well... the plan WAS to borrow my mate's Africa, as the woman was going to come along, and 2-up on the KLR isn't the most fun thing in the world. However I've now been sucked into a family gathering tonight to discuss items of importance, and that's likely to spill over to Saturday too. Grrrr. Looks like I'm not to hit the gravel this weekend.

Me too. I've got 2 naked LC4's in the shed.If I can encourage them to breed I'll have a bike with 65hp, 18L fuel tank, electric + kick start, no vibes, a comfy seat, light as & long travel suspension.
You guys all have a good time & I look forward to the ride report.

Did you think the 690 suspension was not long travel enough? I was a little worried about that, but after riding found no issue with it. Looks way more stumpy that it feels to me.Me too. I've got 2 naked LC4's in the shed.
Instead of watching the bikes get-it-on, maybe you should be working on your RR?
