    Great ride...

Well my phone line at home has crashed out leaving me without internet access so currently I'm in an Ak City Net Cafe typing this...I wish my connection was this quick & responsive at home!!

I thoroughly & absolutely enjoyed today's ride up to Maungawhai with about 12 other keen bikers. We had 11 start from Westgate, Mr devil was waiting for us on Old North Rd (new leathers look good man!), and a stranger joined us on his Gixxer600 Alstare Corona from Wellsford. The weather was just right with enuf clouds to hold back the sunstrike, and the temperature was nice and cool!

We had three stops - Kaukapkapa, Wellsford, and Mangawhai for lunch. After Mangawhai the group basically broke up, 3 headed off further up north, some left early back for the big smoke, leaving the last 5 of us to cruise back via the same route we came up on. Things ended up where it was just Drunken Monkey and I riding together back as far as Kaukop where he turned left towards Silverdale (glad you made the soccer game Alan!), I ended up riding solo back from there to home. What I found interesting was that my "own pace" is actually faster than I rode during the whole group ride...I guess all this talk on KB about group rides has subdued me somewhat when riding with others!!

Anyway, thanks for the pleasant company everyone who turned up, let's do it again real soon eh!

Ps. My rider of the day goes to mv-senna. You haul that CBR600 gurl!!

Great effort on the pics and being not at home. Turns out the chap on the Alstare lives one street away from me on the Peninsula.

Small world and maybe he will join the site real soon. Or I will hunt him down

As for me I thought I was doing quite well but it was kinda a fast bunch. Having not been on the bike for a while (ok I know I said that b4) it was awesome to have no pressure to try and keep up. The roads were awesome and the company was kinda ok

It felt like KB used to be. Damn shame about the Posties

[Sigh]. Nana could make sarcastic comments about it not being a peoper KB ride unless someone crashs.

But Nana thinks that the point has been done to death (no pun intended) and noone wants to hear now.

Nana fears that the message isn't going to go through until we have another funeral to go to.
