Erzberg 2011 is on from 23-26 June 2011

I have confirmation today that the 17th running of the Erzberg will be held from 23-26 June next year. I am going and wondering if anyone else is thinking of watching it and may like to tag along. Prior to Erzberg I have pencilled in a weeks special tour/ride around Sibui, which is where they do the Romaniacs event. This ride is limited to 12 people and will cost around 900 euro for accom/bike hire. So if any one is keen let me know.

I am currently planning my trip to europe, which will involve spectating at erzberg

I am just wondering what company you have booked in with for the tour around Sibiu, Romania? As that would be good to do, I am very interested in romaniacs but won't be able to spectate the race.

Any info would be good, a link to their website would be good to. Thanks

Hi Noodle,

We have looked at a few different countries in Europe to ride around the same time as Erzberg and we have found that Romania works in well both for timeing/scenery/ price as some others we looked at were very expensive esp when converting to euro and only 3 or 4 days riding. So we booked a ride from 11 -18 June with Sabin from endurotours. Sabin is one of the owners and has been excellent to deal with. There are still some places left so have a look and consider it, currently there are two of us from NZ doing this ride. It looks like they put on a pretty good ride with limited numbers (10) for each trip and have a range of trails they can use depending on rider skill. I don't really want to try some of the hills or river crossings they use in the romaniacs but other look pretty exciting.Check out his site as he does have some good pics there.

So we might see you at Erzberg, I don't know what your plans are in Austria but as yet we have not booked accomodation here, but will be staying away from the site and be hiring a car so you might like to consider hooking up.

Will be touring around Europe and that date fits perfectly for us. Need to be in Italy for the moto gp the wekend after. probably going to camp at the camp ground.
Anyone know if you can just turn up rather than book tickets ahead?
