    What's with this?

1320 today coming up bombay hills from the south doing my 100 - 104 and passed by a hells angles biker doing about 140, then passed by 4 more going slightly slower. Next to pass me was a plan clothers cop with no lights flashing pushing up the rear of a car he wanted to get out of the way. Lights came on, car pulled over and off cop went after bikes, I was impressed and please they were doing there job. It turned out they all went into BP at the top of the hill and at my 100 i managed to see the cop following them along the offramp. As I also was going in I thought this would be good to see.

Well the bikes went to pumps and stopped, cop cowered away around the back of the truck park and kept going.

Well cant understand that one. Maybe some of the cops that are on this site can explain what regulation that falls under. As i saw excessive speed, dangerous driving just to name 2.

the bit that annoyed me was the big show of on with the lights and chasing them up the hill, was nothing about doing his job. if he wasn't going to do anything, why even chase them

mate, I've had trucks late indicate and push me onto the grass median (lucky was in my cage) right in front of a marked cop car and he did nothing.

Doesn't surprise me and to be honest I wouldn't take on a whole bunch of them if I was on me own.

But one of my workers had his house broken into on Friday. Rang the Police and was told that no one would one available to have a look until Tuesday.

i'd suggest there's a slightly bigger picture with 5 x HA travelling together. 1 x cop is only gonna be able to stop 1 of them, and the one who stops will be fully clean and legal.

and if it's plain clothes, it's a detective, - from Auckland probably the MGU, and they don't really fuck about speeding.

Well done Nadroj for finding that !

Now wait for the "but they were speeding and not ticketed" and "what a waist of popo resorces when they should be catching burglers" comments to roll on in !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
