Err, I think you have that backwards. Jelly mould blob versus the scuplted modern look. No contest really.

Am I better looking at v-twins in the 600 range e.g. Honda Hornet?
    Nah bro.
You clearly need extra power so get something brutal - ZXR14 bro. Or a Busa!
    Superquick.
You need at least 100-200hp. Don't go V-twin bro.....you want power!!!

at the end of the day, the quicker you step off. The quicker ACC steps back and stops complaining that they have to fix the rest of us. You clearly know nothing about motorbikes, and are not willing to research for yourself.......so I care not for you.

Carefull there sunshine. It just so happens I've met Khabel and he strikes me as a particularly responsible and mature individual. He's far from an 18 year old Squid, put it that way. As for the research, that's what he's doing here. Asking the opinions of his more experienced riding peers three months out from his full licence. He's also a fairly solidly built chap and therefore keen to move off his 250 fairly shortly after gaining his 6F so wants an idea of what will suit his needs for a bit of a shortlist.

    Good on him I say

Especially good on him if he buys a bike from me

Eye sight's good providing I keep up with my prescription changes. Couldn't pay me to own a BMW though. Actually, that's bullshit, ys wouldn't have to pay me much to own an S1000R

I don't think the VTRs are ugly, just bland and forgettable.

VTR would have cheaper insurance tho, less likely to want to ride it and no ones gonna steal it...

Lol, like how they wont touch the TL's for obvious reasons. Something about their owners getting hurt or killed by their "widow makers".

I think thats what he meant. A TRX has a 270deg crank so it fires 90deg apart in the same way that the Ducati 90deg "L-twin" motors do. Trellis frame in all, its known by some as the Yamacati.

I've got a nicely set up one, and having stepped down to it from a GSXR1000K4, and having previously owned an R6, it's a nice rideable bike with very useable power delivery. From standard they need a set of springs in the front forks and some aftermarket pipes to get good value from them but are a nice bike for what they are.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Think about a Honda VTR1000 SP1, not a SP2 (they went with 62mm throttle bodys vs the SP1 54mm, only gained 4hp in top end but lost a lot of midrange).
