I'll give the poor wee bike a prep talk but perhaps we can meet yas at the start then tag along again towards the end, I'm dying to view the Wigram museum again :S
Hi badgrl, you don't need to go to the Museum if you don't want to, you could always just come along for the ride then head home once back in Chch

The ride for 6th Feb looks good Flip.

Do you have an entrance price for the Wigram Museum please????
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Yep, there's a cafe with hot and cold food and drinks, and also a souvenir shop. They're all set up for tourists.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

They used to do good sausage rolls, but it was a little while ago when I wandered across the road from 2TTS at morning tea time.

I may even be able to make this one, hopefully my new toy is classic enough.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

You realise BG that the "classic" could be either the bike or the rider. Are you a "classic" yourself?????????

"Classic" in humans is a state of mind so you could be classed as "classic" at a young age if you so choose.

Indeed, neither my bike nor I are anywhere near old enough to count as classic, but I certainly plan on coming along, it's been years since I've been to the airforce museum, and I could do with a nice celebratory ride to commemorate the new 6R license I just got this morning.

Still, if it'll help me blend in, I could complain loudly about things not being built like they used to be, the price of milk/petrol/whatever, and these damned newfangled intertubes thingamajiggers.

Don't forget to moan about; getting bald, fat, grey, the little buttons on cell-phones, the youth of today, how fast people drive, the government, anything to do with computers, so many things so little time.

Look at this damn young upstart mocking the entirely justified concerns of the sensibly-aged... we should string the little bastard up!

Howsat?.. I think I'm getting the hang of this cantankerous.. er, I mean, "classic" state of mind thing.
