    My first "real" bike - Hornet 900

    Hi all

    Well, I've gone and done it. Yesterday I took off from work early, raided a bank or two then proceeded to Botany Honda where I plonked a fat stack of cash into Chris' hand and stole off with a nice red hornet.

    I'd tried a bunch of bikes and had trawled trademe so regularly that I knew every bike (and price) back to front. In the end Botany had the attitude (test the bike, go as far as you want! do it again!), the service history, a 3-month warranty, a totally blinged out CB900 that I just had to have, and heaps of amusing stories. Cheers guys!

    I absolutely love the bike, I feel like I've been riding it forever; it's easy at low speeds & revs, but holy shit it can pull. I'm still not feeling confident enough on it to go full throttle in first gear (second is insane too) and I'm sure I haven't even scratched its handling capabilities. I know it's powerful and I must be extra careful with all that omnipotence so I'm taking it easy, as Caseye said to me last night "That's all the bike you need"

    People have been asking me why I've been smiling so much today, and of course I tell them.

    Anyway, the important stuff
    * Scorpian exhausts
    * 'Rider' seat
    * givi screen, givi monokey rack, givi engine bars
    * aprilia mirrors
    * hand warmers (what super-genius invented those?)

    Here's some pics to prove I'm not a liar

    Congrats

    You made a right choice, hornets are fantastic, 250 or 900 don't matter, they are simply beautiful with amaizing engines. Now we all have to come your way and ha e a tast , just kidding, ride safe cuz it does wheelies and stopies so easy.

    Can vouch for that. We got the first viewing. Even his helmet couldn't hide the gloating... ooops I mean smiling, grinning, beaming...

    And you look good on it too. Forgot to tell you that last night.

    Welcome to the swarm! And what Gremmies said, that bike was zeocen's (and it was far too good for him) glad to see it went to a rider who will actually ride it!

    So guess we will be seeing you around in the swarm eventually!

    Congratulations , nice bike. Strongly considering getting one as my next bike. Supposed to be easy handling, versatile and have enough grunt.

    I do have another I've prepared earlier if you wanted to go for a bit of a blast to see if it'll suit your needs.
