Haha nice... i still like the "just slide forward!" comment though. Those Intruders are great bikes, i almost bought one and that was weighing up against a gixxer 600. The gixxer did win in the end but it was a weeks worth of dilemma.

Or the guy who drove past my driveway when I was sitting on my bike, he gave me a at the bike, only to nearly steer into a power pole when I took my helmet off and it was a girl riding it.
You have, in my opinion, got the best bike to learn on! I had the same bike but 2009 and I loved it and had so much fun. People do think it is bigger than 250.

Enjoy! Especially with summer coming up.

    There is the secret...

I like my wee Intruder, it's certainly a fun bike to cruise on, and will serve me well til I get my full licence later on. I do get a bit of ribbing from one fellow KBer who always asks if I've started the bloody thing when we go for a ride. It's ok for him, he rides a Harley you just can't not hear, it drowns out my little V twin

When going up a hill; use the throttle
When going down a hill; use the brakes

    Damn I'm awesome
