    'Cadillac on two wheel' - very smooth, comfortable and able to carry a lot of gear.

    I did 700km first day on the one I had in the US this year - and could easily have done more and still felt fine and 'untired'.

    The only reason I didn't keep going was that I'd have the intended journey cut out in three days instead of the week we had planned.

    I've never ridden a Harley, but I have ridden a chopper and I found it a real cunt to ride. The riding position was awful, which clearly didn't inspire confidence in myself.

    Not all choppers are Harleys - and cornering was NOT what choppers were designed for.
