    The end of an era!

So today I waved farewell to my trusty old Gixxer 1100.
We've seen some great roads, met some great people but it was time to mover her on to make way for my new baby!

Biktranz will hopefully have her to me by the end of next week so will need a baptising ride over the tukas.

I see you had a '90 model 11, I had the '89. It also felt like the end of an era to me when I sold my reliable bullet proof 1100K. Loving my Gixxer Thou now but I do miss the old 11.
Good times ahead with the new ride, enjoy.

I'm looking at buying a GSXR1100 for my next bike. Are they nice to ride in the twisties or are they really heavy?

    Commiserations and Congratulations.

Post up again on this thread when you realise:

Jesus talk about night and day! Going from a GSXR1100 to a Fireblade? You won't regret it.

Shame to see the old bike go (and go it could IIRC) but that looks like an excellent replacement, congrats.

I always enjoyed it on the twisties (except for one altercation with an armco barrier!)...They're definately heavy but I was used to it and a few people will attest that I kept up alright.

Haha, not you as well! Bryce giving me a hard time too....still, I've got broad shoulders and can take all of your criticisms knowing that your knees are trembling in intimidation of the big orange beast!

Honestly though, long overdue for a cruise! gotta catch up soon.

Cheers Milts...she certainly could go!....only thing holding her back was the skill level of the rider! lol.
