Swap my CBR 250r for a GSX 400rr. Worth the swap?

So i got offered to swap my CBR 250r for a GSX 400rr today.
Any ideas on GSX's? are they any good? fast? reliable? is the swap worth it?

    thanks in advance!

What year is the GSX? But probably no...whats the point of 10 more hp. Also are you learner? I mean if you are going to break the conditions of 6L like i did...do it for at least 1000cc (still the same $100 fine but demerits are shocking...35)

Ask yourself how long til you can up grade. Going to a 400 isn't an up grade. THe 250 will be easier to sell when you want to get a bigger bike, and if shes in good nik will probably fetch better coin as well.
My mate made the mistake of swapping his FZR250 for a FZR400 a few years ago when we all had 250s. Sounded grouse but my MC22 CBR was just as quick and he got fuck all for it come sale time as no one buys them for road bikes!
And as above if you're going to breach you licence conditions, at least get something decent... that will leave the coppas behind.

what year? how many kms?, mechanical history? sales history? workshop history?

    pictures?

    need more info.
    short answer:
if it has a reasonable history available, and the age, condition, and KMs are comparable to your bike, then I would say yes, good swap. why?
because (provided the above) you want an upgrade.
more power, slightly larger, new (to you) bike etc etc etc.

but fuck, if it the thought of the deal really gave you a boner, then you wouldnt be asking us, youd be showing us pics of your new bike!!

I saw you ask this question on trademe last night. I was going to PM you and say NO NO NO NO NO!!!

The GSXR has been on trademe for months at $3500 and cant sell. You will have much more luck selling your CBR than you will trying to re sell the GSXR and you should get a better price for the CBR. I found it funny he had the cheek to ask for money his way....

Sell your CBR then find a bike.

The MC19 is one of the best 250cc road bikes you can get, very quick for a 250cc 4 stroke and a lot more reliable than the 2 strokes. Hold onto it, look after it and buy a big bike when you get your 6F.

Yup def keep the cbr, awesome bikes which are good to upgrade to a 600 sports from as ur already used to the position and the power jump isn't as massive a difference compared to the v twins out there. I went zxr250 to the r6 and found it fine, just got to control the throttle a bit more.

Don't just listen to any load of crap that you get told.

1: How the hell would anyone get a $1000 dollar fine and loss of license for riding the wrong CC bike. The fine is $100 and 35 demerits.
2: There is no specific license requirement involved in paying for registration or warrant of fitness.

If you post dumb shit on here you're going to get flamed for it.
