though, I could flick a 250 sign over the 400 and hopefully road dirt would camouflage the lines. I might get off without any need to explain myself, but that's just hypothosis. Before they step out of their car they must run your plate through the computer and have the details of the vehicle attatched to it?

scenario 2, I wouldn't have a chance. Does honesty work on cops? Hopefully i'd run into a female officer and, well, you know how it goes, show a little skin here and there . Might get off lightly, worth a shot isn't it?
Well you could allways say you're from another planet and would she like to come back to your space ship to see your etchings. That way you could plead insanity so as not to recieve demerit points.

You'd have to worry about the insurance and the possibility of large fines for breaching your conditions, etc. so I don't think the additional worry would be worth it.

Some cops know their bikes, some don't. I know someone who has the rego label off another bike they own (same make) on the one they ride and it has never been picked up, even when they were stopped for overtaking in an unsafe manner - but if anything ever goes wrong, you'd have no one to blame but yourself.

Cops are a bit like IRD - make an innocent mistake and they probably won't crucify you, but do something deliberately with the intention of misleading them, and they'll throw the book at you.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

How about getting a 250 and slapping a 600 sticker on it?
