Can the surgeons still not make them smell right?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Following a rider who is wearing shoes. Having seen what happens to ankles when they are not protected and make contact with the road

I actually do cringe when I see little ankle bones peeking out for trouser bottoms

Make a pie out of it - Fatt Max would still be keen.

    Statistical comparisons for bike accidents

The pillion was wearing a short skirt (and don't ask me for pictures) and jandals. Effectively almost all of their bare legs was exposed.

And I had to cringe. Cringe at what would happen if someone with bare legs came off at 100km/h and went for a slide on the motorway. If both legs hit the ground they would probably end up with an AIS score of 6 - being fatal. You generally can't survive severe injuries to two limbs at the same time.

I think I cringed at the thought of the resulting damage to that human body.

A number of KB contributors have commented on the widespread practice in places like Nth Queensland, for bikers to wear very little safety gear. I wonder if there are accident and injury statistics from these places that can be compared to cooler climes like NZ.

My own obervations in places like MacKay and Cairns are that the roads are far better than here (good for safe riding) and the car drivers, although not great, are distinctly better than here. NZ drivers are surely the most dangerous in the world - even in places like Jakarta the driving, although seemingly chaotic) does have a method to it. Also the attitudes are better, less agression than here
