    What a stupid thing to say. They're checking WOF for YOUR safety, not their own. Rego is a different matter though. Having your bike in a roadworthy condition (i.e. to WOF standard) will not prevent a crash, but it will prevent a crash that is caused by something badly wrong with your bike.

    Hope he is OK, Like 'em or not he is a biker and he has had a spill so I hope he was able to walk away from it.

    I hope ACC payments for this chap come out of the correct account rather than the motor pool a/c.

    Seriously, I hope the officer is OK. There was a comment earlier in the thread saying, regardless of whether he was a cop, he was still a biker!. I think more importantly he his also a human, so...
