Talking Obligatory passed my 6F post

Did my test at Sydenham, Christchurch. The instructor used a new route because of road blocks due to earthquake damage. The first part of the test was bit of a mess and we ended up doing 2 U-turns due to road works, a third U-turn that was part of the test, then a fourth one at a round about at the end of the 70km high speed zone.

I'm familiar with that part of town, so that helped somewhat.

As for my next bike? It doesn't exist yet...

There's a guy in Invercargill in the Online Trading section who has an RS250 for sale for $2000. Get that, and a TSS500 engine, and I guarantee the local two stroke nuts will help you screw it all together.

The bike's in pieces though. Lack of knowledge is the main concern, no idea how to tell whether the bike is good, second is knowledge/cost of maintaining a 2 stroke.

If I was slightly less sensible I would be going down with a trailer, then somehow figure out how to rebuild the engine and put it together.

I told myself I'm going to keep my bike for a while. However, ever since I got my licence, I also find myself looking at pictures of XJ6-N, Aprilia Shiver, and Ducati Monster everyday!

Well done on the 6F. I too spent most of my 6L & R on a wee Scorpio. Great little bike for learning on, But with 6F under your belt there is a whole new big bike world to explore and enjoy now.
