lookin at takin the wife n kid on a few trailrides in the Top of The South over Xmas/NewYear. Big River in Reefton is high on the list. Anyone suggest any others or can offer a guided tour?? Cheers,

best tour guide i can recommend is mr Jatz.

he knows of a great viewing platform as well......

as well as Big River there is quite a bit of other riding around Reefton.

Waitahu River (just north of Reefton is great (its XF650's favourite track)

the hills to the south of Reefton have quite a few tracks and are well worth an explore.

You could spend a day up at Denniston, ride through to the Mackly river, there's also a few tracks to explore of the main one.
Napoleons hill, Lake Hotchstetter and surrounds, Cockey crk and No Name rd. I have been lost in the forestry out the back of Shantytown too, so that could be worth a look
