Stolen bikes seem to be a fairly regular occurence?

was thinking all threads should be in a sub-forum for stolen bikes in this general bike ravings forum.
Would be easier to follow up on the bikes & progress in catching the bastards all in one area.
Shaken, not stirred in the shakey city!

    thats probably a good idea.
in my local paper, the rodney times,
Danielle Aldridge and a friend had their bikes stolen off a trailer on 13/11 overnight in matamata.
they were on the way to matata for 2nd round of nat cross country series.
    their bikes were uninsured.
bike 1/2007 ktm sx 125,black plastics with personalised name in pink and purple.
    bike 2/2007 rmz 250.

    yep great Idea!!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

We should also have a sub forum for known bike thieves where we can post pics of them, along with their names and last known abode.

Nothing like a bit of vigilante justice.

Just spend the money $250 to $400 (i think it was that price) on a Cellular Motorcycle alarm system
the one where if someone turns it off it sends an alert to your phone, (so you still get the alert if they cut the wire!) depending on the location where you are and how far, but then you might be able to say Holy molars! and have a few rounds with the idiot... pow pow, kick SHORYUUKEN!!!!! HADOUKEN! SHORYUUKEN!!! then finish him...........fatality!!! (well then again..)

Yeah same here, I mean as an 18 year old male I expect high insurance. $170 for third party only, $1700 for full insurance. Currently trying to find how much for third party and theft is... Scary stuff :|

There's not much point in that unless the courts are prepared to sentence repeat offenders to lengthy jail sentences for these crimes. It's the same people committing the same crimes time and time again.
