    Helmet in a plane?

Probably a trivial question - will my lid fit comfortably in the overhead locker in a 737?

I'm looking at flying to Auckland to check out a bike, and I'm guessing checking in my helmet would be a bad move - and so would wearing it.

Yes, it will fit in the overhead locker. Also no problem with wearing it, as long as you carry it on to the plane and don't strap on a parachute at the same time.

you could wait until just after the captain does his little announcement, when he's done stand up and grab said helmet from the overhead and mutter "oh crap, not this guy again" put the helmet on and sit down. See how many people get up and leave

So long as it's not on your head it should be ok, they definitely fit in a 747 overhead locker.
Has it ever bothered you that Therapist is The Rapist if you break the word in two? It bothers me, especially when they suggest hypnosis.

It would probably fit under the seat in front of you as well lying sideways. One thing I'm thinking is it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have a light helmet bag with you to put it in to give it some sort of protection because the biggest annoyance on planes are the zoobs that board late-ish with a mountain of shit and try to stuff it all in the lockers cramming in against your stuff. You don't want their gear scratching your precious.

Do a deal on the bike and get them to throw a helmet in.
    Saves carting one up there!

Will the new body scanners see through a helmet? You may be able to just wear it on after all.

I had to go through one of those things this week. Went to the mens room first to give it a shake so it looked a bit more impressive

Will fit in locker on whatever jetstar plane they were running from chch-auckland. At the scanning area, the security guys (on the way home) did question if I knew the pilot and didn't trust him. hehe, I didn't get what they meant as didn't think it odd taking my helmet with me (must have come across as sooooo stooooooopid - they had to point to the helmet for it to twig - duumbass).

    Helmet In A Plane...
There's a movie title in there somewhere.
Will it star Samuel L Jackson?
