Was pretty much one of the best XC's I've done. Plenty of tight fast single trail, a lot of technical sections. Was so much fun, hardest XC I've done as well! Counted about 5 blisters!

Cant wait till the next Riverhead event.

    Thanks WMCC!

    (enjoying those beers :P)

PS: If anyone is after photos I have a lot, they will be uploaded to my facebook. Link is coming soon! They look awesome!

    Brilliant track and well marked/organized.

My first lap was a shocker, so decided to kick riding a loaner 2/ idea to touch and use partners yzf, the next two were serious fun, A really nice variety of track, with One downhill I found real tricky, mainly because you had to go so slow and it felt wrong. We bailed before the beers unfortunately, one of these days I'll catch up with vazza for an ale.

    Which downhill was that taki?

Anyone struggle in that really soft loamy section.. Maybe 10 minutes into the lap? I couldn't seem to ride fast through there.. Was strange. It sort of felt hard but it wasnt.

Will have to have drink or 2 at Root 100!

    Cheers Rupe!

Vazza, You came off a road section into a downhill, was tight single track, not steep, but real tight and roots in inconvenient places, I'd speed up and it felt like the very next corner would sharpen on exit lol, be an spot awesome for practicing.

The loamy part, do you mean before the first real road section ?.

Anyone else get a real kick off the log across the track on the clear fell, I was a bit casual hitting it in the first lap around on the yzf and wondered if I was going to endo for a second, good thing I'm overweight and when the seat smacked my ass it slowed it down, just ended up riding on the front wheel for a second, would have been a bugger falling off there, real embarrassing, up there with falling off in the carpark.

Oh haha! I recall that, was very fun. Difficult to go fast in yeah. I just kept it in 2nd and tried to be as smooth as I could. A few tight spots where you had to lean the bike or else you'd get snagged on a branch. Was pretty funky through there!

The loamy part lasted for ages, I think it was after the first main road section yeah. It was REALLY soft in sections.

The only time I fell off was just after that log, front end washed out on a long sleak log/branch. Was funny haha.

Was a good ride only bits that got me was the real soft section by the third lap seamed to go on forever and the short steep bit just after the short road section was really rutted at the bottom.

oh ok, they prob averaged their laptimes, and I think adam was a bit quicker. Doesn't really make a difference to anyone though.....as long as I finished above barty!

they passed you when you refuelled....

lap times were all over the show due to the hardware issue- we know who came where by the manual system...
