    Easy wof?

G'day guys... lovely day for a ride today eh!

Just wondering what's the best WOF place to go to for a pass in Auckland, preferably on North Shore but anything will do. Not interested in any kind of hassle and bullshit safety inspecting, just want to pay the tax and get out of there if you know what I mean!

Guess it goes without staying to steer well clear of VTNZ eh?

Quick answers appreciated as i'm keen to get out asap!

    Cheers!

Dunno about "Easy Wof" but "Honest Wof" would be action bike wreckers.

Why bother with a WOF if you're not checking it for safety?

it's not for safety sorry- it's for tax. Nothing at all to do with safety, especially VTNZ they are unbelievable and i'm not alone here lol.

VTNZ are easy, cos they only check whats on the list, tyres, brakes, lights, check for slop in the wheels.... and done! mind you it probably depends a bit on who you get there, as it does anywhere

Who pissed in your Cornflakes this morning?

Of all the inspections I've had to have done over the last 10 years all the ones that failed bar one were failed for safety reasons. I.e. insufficient tread, etc. The one exception was when I had a Chinese mechanic check out my Mustang and his lack of knowledge on older cars meant he made a mistake and determined something was unsafe when actually it was safe.

Either way, I'm hoping you get an "honest" WOF from hiss' recommendation.

If your bike is fine, any place will do.
If your bike isn't fine, fix it, then any place will do.

I won't even take my car there anymore, they are not equipped to do brake checks on 4WD cars.

Do you have a regular guy you go to for WOFs? My experience has been that sticking with one mechanic (If it's a good one) means they know the vehicle, etc.

VTNZ are not very thorough at all, took a bike in expecting to have things to fix and passed?

Other places seem to check not only the list but also take for quick squirt up the road

If you change the frame of the bike over will it still go through? Because you know, with the different number etc.

Also will a slightly dragging front brake pass? Not that bad at all but the wheel won't spin for long by hand. Not sure if its part of wof these days
