Fines are cheaper... Plus having no rego is good motivation to ride "carefully" so you're less like to be pulled over and checked.

Watch out for the new seal between Tuakau and Bombay (Harrisville Road). The muppets that organised this resealed the only good bits on that road and left the stuff that is smooth and shiney (where the brother-in-law's truck spins in the wet with no acceleration!) No signage either. Bastards
