Gaskets will quite often fall apart if they are old when the cases are removed, thats why I said try the oil first! all fixed for now anyway

they dont even need to be old - maybe i just use cheap gaskets, but mine are always fucked if pulled apart again after a week or so.

try a light smear of grease on them before you put on then they should nt stick when you pull apart next time.
