    Anyone recognise who this is?

I put a few of my old pics up on the twin shock trials thread. Now also from 1973, this time December 1973 at Puketapu out of Napier, here is a pic of a moto-x racer. Anyone recognise who this would be?

Vifferman scored it first if you believe what I wrote on my slides, it was Ivan Miller and I think if I remember rightly this was a national meet. Hugh Anderson was there too having just returned from Europe and he was riding a 500 Yamaha. In the pic Ivan was on the TM125. As for Shayne King, Im not sure if he was born in 73 or was probably still in nappies if he was.

I used to own Ivan Miller's Cheney Triumph,he brought it out to NZ and only rode it 3 times apparently,he took the motor out and that was the end of the bike until it was found in the back of a warehouse 10 yrs later. At one stage Dave Tompkins fitted a JAP into it and raced it on the beach,I remember seeing him with it.Then he pulled his motor out and it sat until I found it in a carport.I had enough parts to put a rough T100C motor together and made the bike a runner.I also had a Rickman at the time and didn't like the Cheney,it was much lighter, shorter and had much quicker handling,a much more modern British MXer than the Rickman....but I prefered the Rickmans lazy handling for the gravel roads I made my own.Ray Pratt ended up with both bikes,I kept track of a few of the Rickman owners but have only seen the Cheney once since.

But he looks like De Costa there I reckon...De Costa rode the 125 as well and had the same wardrobe.....
