Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
Well the motorbike cops in Wellington do it.
Not often, hate it whe you get caught out half way up the line and the traffic starts moving
I find those on-ramp lights a bit of a giggle, sneek up the middle & time the launch from about 2-3 cars back. cars up front have no idea whats happened as you blast on through.
dont know how legal it is though. Probably wouldnt try it next to a cop.
You can use most transit lanes. I was having a chat with a cop at one stage, when stuck in traffic (he was helping a breakdown or something, dunno) and he turned around and told me I should just use the transit lane - had to point out to him there wasn't one and I wasn't keen on splitting at that point due to him blocking the shoulder. He just laughed, so I went and split for the rest of the on-ramp.
I do think it funny when they decide to target the transit lanes and wish they'd do it more often. The one by work is odd, as it used to have a picture of a motorcycle on the board, but I'm sure they've covered it up. I do still use it and sometimes think I should look at the first board again (often it's only the first board with the picture).
