Question Mr Motorcycles Paparimu this weekend, 12 Dec

Are fire extinguishers compulsary for this ride Scott?
Looking forward to this one. Did the Glen Murray one the other day, really enjoyed that thanks so hoping to do the whole series this year at the 3rd attempt!

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!

Yes fire extinguishers are compulsory - received the flyer yesterday.

Can't make this one due to re-launching a yacht in Whitianga and racing back for the family Christmas BBQ.

    Have fun everyone.

$15 seems good value. Do these come with any means of mounting to the bike?

They come with a plastic bracket that holds the extinguisher and could be mounted if thats what you mean, but they dont come with mounting screws or anything of that nature

Used an aluminium backing plate in the airbox with bolts that went through the plate and the airbox and through the extinguisher bracket, the extinguisher is held to the bracket with a velcro strap aswell. Its only fallen off once, and that was after being there for ~9months without being checked once.

just got back from marking it out, its pretty dry in the open but not to bad in the bush, track is about 25km with all the a loops (there are 3 different a Loop options) and about 20km if all the B Loops are taken,

we have the family loop again, which is for kids and learners, it is completly seperate from the main loop,

hope to see you there sunday

    Scott

I remember about 3 years ago on this ride with adam, boom, cheese?, mike on the raptor, barty (i think) and a couple of others and you having to ride my crf up one of the muddy hills '"cause I was so knackered and tired from falling off I think i'm a little better now. Also remenber going down a steep hill with a hairpin bend and everybody stuck in a bog at the bottom! so a little rain to keep the dust down is ok but a huge downpour would see everybody queing at that bog again.

Depending on what the family state of affairs is maybe or maybe not making it now.

Me and 4 stroke were riding that day, and it was the first time i had ridden a crf250x and i thought it was so heavy, then relised that half the mud that was on the track was on your bike.
It was funny watching people trying to get through the bog and coming unstuck, but its always good to help people as well. They help you out, and then you help out the next group etc. no body whats a bad day stuck in the mud.
