Wow.Thats horrible. What happened? Hopefully insurance pays out.
Hell's bells!
You and your family OK though?
I thought elections were decided by angry posts on social media. - F5 Dave
All but one bike was insured, thanks HenryDorsetCase all safe, garage is about a meter away from the house.... luckly they stopped the fire just in time... the gutter on the house is all melted...
Oh man - brutal... Still - if no ones hurt its a good thing but still... ouch!
Looks repairable.
But seriously, mate sorry to see that. I hope the insurance company shells out for all the premiums you pay!
That shit'll buff out..........
I wonder how come it was hot enough to melt all the alloy but the front tyre's still there?
Vote David Bain for MNZ president
Alloys melting temp is pretty low, plus steel/metals etc lose a lot of their tensile strength very quickly, which if you look you can see it has deformed rather than melted.
Edit, just saw the newer pics, and it has melted. Lots of reasons, my fire investigation skills are very limited.....and i'm too far off courses and fire science lessons to try and explain it well, but basically the alloy would likely have been more vulnerable to the heat from convection than the rubber.

Curiosity was framed; ignorance killed the cat
Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.
God that's a real bummer. But to be philosophical you have lost things that can be replaced, take comfort that you still have the people you love around you.
Here's to a better future!
Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Holy Shit, I just broke in a cold sweat looking at those photos, I dont know what I would do if my garage burnt down & I lost everything!!
Sorry to hear of this, but as others have said, at least no one was hurt
"The road to Hell is really grippy with loads of run off & some wicked lefthanders"
Oh man, so sorry to hear of your troubles. It certainly puts my everyday niggles in to perspective. I hope insurance helps you replace your losses.
Gutted. Glad everyone is ok. Very sobering pics.
Keep on chooglin'
That's not pleasant, so glad the family was fine...still, seeing that before your eyes really, it's gotta hurt. Nothing ever can replace the sentimental value of anything...each item that you've lost meant something to you.
All the best for a way cooler garage and a super next year!
