Suspension settings for high speed runs

Anyone out there got tips for setting up a bike for high speed?

I have my bike set up soft but when the speed gets up it feels vague.

Anyone have experience with setting up for this? Static sag, rebound/damping?
Go firm, stay soft, tyre pressures etc?

Obviously this is on closed/private roads so there is no requirement to turn this into an argument about responsible riding etc.

    Thanks for any help.

I like mine nice and firm. Hate that feeling of wallowing around a corner.

    Suspesion

Just for interest, I screwed up 15 mm extra preload on the back and went up five clicks on the rear compression damping. (just bounced the back up and down and kept on adjusting till it felt like my mates bike)

The front forks have just been serviced and they felt okay.
Adjusted the chain, removed the TRE to stop it leaning out in 6th, changed the steering damper oil and bled it and finally checked the tyre pressures.

5 clicks was too much, I back it off to three after riding it over kawakawa bay run.

Time for the test, I cracked her open and found she is way better, she gives a head shake when coming off the top of hump bridges, but nothing to exciting.

All in all, a much nicer bike to ride.

Have a read of this (a few times) if ya wanna get ya head around the science of it !

Depending on your weight ya may have to change spring rates to get the optimum sags but ya could also get lucky like i was on my speed triple
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
