Is it a higher performance filter or just a new replacement making that fuel saving?

    I remember when gas was a 1$ a litre.....in around 1984....on apprentice wages....now that was expensive.....and the ol' Z1000 was a thirsty beast.

Wait until the recession is over then watch it climb...

I can remember not to many years after that getting gas on the Coromandel at $1.14 a litre and thinking I was being shafted

$2 a litre isn't a new thing it was about that a few years back

I remember pulling into a servo in ChCh in 1980 , filling up my almost empty Goldwing and the girl serving me couldn't believe managing to put $10.00 of fuel in to a motorcycle, unheard of, $10 worth of petrol in a motorcycle, what was the world coming to?

NO. No. And No. I will still ride my bike. And I am still going to Wanganui on X-mas Day.

When I cam to NZ in Oct 2006, 91 fuel was $1.34 per litre.

Move forward a couple of years when the world oil price went to $140 per barrel and the NZ/US $ was 68c, fuel cost about what it does now.

But the world price for oil is now is < $90 and the NZ/US $ is about 75c.

Someone is making a lot of cash out of this this rip off!

Now look this is not true - I know this as successive goverments have done investigations into this and concluded that it is all good. I mean really, why would governments spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and then bullshit us .........

Somewhere in the Beehive there is an accountant trying to work out how to charge motorcyclists only an extra 20 cents per litre due to being 110% more likely to get a hard-on while riding that your adverage car driver.

It could be much worse. You could be filling up a car.

Do you remember when the oil companies could NOT charge more than 99cents per litre, simply because their fuel pumps only had two digits?

Just wait until the global recession finishes.

Cringing at the though of the $$$ going into the F100 tank while going to/from the Beach Hop @ Whangamata next year.

15mpg for a 3,000+km round trip, you do the maths.

Oh, and it thrives on 98...
