someone has to pay for the mega mall in abu dhabi and the "world cl-ASS" resorts in dhubai. I just read the xmas tree in the abu dhabi mall cost 130 million, and was adorned with real jewels blah, blah.
my bike now must be about 38$ to fill, but our truck which is scary thirsty, (Honda CRV 2.0ltr) is over $100. The bike I get 7 trips to work and the truck 8.
hmmm 38 for 7 or 100 for 8?... pity the fat cats put the regos up so high, then knew the petrol rises were coming anyway.
maybe they should take out the faster burning additives from the petrols.

$2 a litre is the price you pay for living in a first world country like nz. If you dont like it leave. After just spending 3 months in San Antonio, texas paying NZ$1.02L, purchasing cheap food, piss, and electronic goods, I realized how good I have it in NZ. I just couldn't wait to get back so I couldI work 60 hrs a week to generate massive tax so the Laiafi's, the Va'iga's and the pisi's don't have to work and they can drive around in their new subarus and toyota estima's. So while $2L is high, the feeling you get from giving to so many people that are just to lazy to work, well it's worth it..

Call it unjustified if you want. It's simply supply and demand. They can't supply enough fuel and demand will keep increasing....therefore the price will keep rising.
I was $37.70 filling up the TDM today.....and $104 for the CRV yesterday......fuck.
Watch it affect food prices as fertiliser and transportation costs balloon.
I'm just glad I ditched the car - it used twice as much gas as the scooter despite being a small, light manual car with fuel injection and only 1500cc.
I have been taking it easy on my Auckland commuting and am now getting an average of better than 26 km/litre despite the various traffic lights I stop at to waste gas. The higher the fuel prices the more sorry I feel for those saps in their cars spending 2-3 times as much on fuel as I do. (maybe more if they spend too much time stuck in traffic while I split passed them)
My mate just bought himself a Civic Type R to replace his WRX - now he gets almost 50% more distance from each litre of petrol, still uses over twice as much as me though.

I'm sure I do, can't remember what it cost a ltr but my first bike only cost $3.00 to fill the tank.
Although I don't agree that the current fuel charges are necessary it won't stop my riding. After bills petrol is the first thing on the budget... got to be cheaper than the therapist I would need if I didn't ride![]()
