Impossible to say what happened based on that short news clip.

No jumping to conclusions eh. Even posts added underneath, just like media reports, aren't necessarily gospel.

Don't worry, Katman will be along shortly to say how it could have been avoided and the biker has to accept responsibility...

On the news this morning overseas an unlicensed young driver with his father in the passenger seat lost control overtaking a group of cyclists and killed 8 of them!

It would appear the rider was stationary and the car swiped him. Poor guy hope he pulls through. As for the driver, I wonder if he is "known" to the Police as well.

If you are right this scum bag needs to serve time...

    Now now play nicely

And the guy in Italy has been arrested for multiple homicides they obviously have a better idea of how to deal with crazy reckless vehicle use.

    Bloody Hell...

I dont go down that way too often from Raumati but its hard to imagine how that could happen without someone doing something really stupid? Do you know where?

If hes a local is there anything we can do to help out? He (assuming its a he) must have family etc - they need anything?

I say "appear" as that is what some of those who saw it happen are saying in the comments and replies under the article including a cop.

If anyone knows him I am sure they will post if the family needs anything, hope so anyway, aye.

Our prayers are with them all.

This may well be someone we all know... It's always too close to home with any rider, but even more so when you might know them.

Come on buddy (that can apply to both female and male ) - pull through and rest up well with a speedy recovery.

Wonder if they had spent they day enjoying themselves on the Toy run with us all?

the owner and the car is known to the police. the plates dont belong on the car that caused it. its an unsafe car that shouldnt be near the road

Rule .303 time then - what sort of car is it so we can do a search and destroy, on both car, owner and driver.
