The basic design frame, forks, swingarm etc is sexy as hell!! its the stupid headlights and massive exhaust that make it ugly.

Hal Licino who compiled the list needs new eyes IMHO Triumph has produced some wonderful machines (maybe not all the time but mostly they get it right).
Have to agree on the Triumph thing re the last 5 years , seems every Bonneville or Bonny offshoot put out is designed deliberately to be as non-offensive as possible to suit the demograph they're aiming I guess. They've actually got to the stage where they're so non-offensive looking they're downright ugly or "offensive' - yuk.

Must say I like the look of the 'Busa in the first thread though ...

There was a reason for that: the engine was too noisy, Ducati wasn't financially healthy enough to bring out a completely new bike, so they just covered the engine with a fully-enclosed fairing to meet the Euro noise regs of the time. But yes, I agree it's urglee.
Off the top of my head, I think the Honda CX500 was a damned urglee beast.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
