    Unhappy Digsaw RIP

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Doug "Digsaw" Johnson after a short illness. Doug will be missed by all who knew him; a cheeky larrikin of the highest order, a keen (and fast) rider and general Good Bastard.

    Red face Doug

I didn't know Doug had gone, knew he had been sick. I bought my first four bikes off Doug when he and his brother Derris opened a bike shop in Putaruru about 1970. It was a branch of Whites who used to be in Hood st.

Was a fantastic scrambles rider way back. I believe Doug was still riding in the old buggars class.

I hadn't caught up with Doug for a few years now. Another link to the start to my riding lifetime gone, Another ghost from the past to wave to, to weep over.

Just got back from Doug's send off. A good turn out. Hugh Anderson got up and spoke. They played a series of still photos from Dougs racing days. Great to see him on the old Jawa / Bultaco scramblers.

Was looking at my Skype contact list last night thinking, haven't heard from Doug in a while!

    This thread explains everything!

    R.I.P. Doug!
