    Road Condition: SH39 & SH4?

Has anyone been through in the last few days? Just wondering how the roads are holding up with all the rain. I'm guessing SH39 will be fine but more interested in slips etc on SH4.

Would prefer actual account rather than speculation.

39 is just fine at present - I have been up and down the entire length quite a bit of late. A little bit of bleed showing here and there - mostly between Ngaruawahia and Whatawhata - but nothing too serious. Few patches of new seal went in a couple of weeks ago too. Pretty damn good south of Whatawhata. Apart from the LEO's of course...

    Dunno 'bout 4.

25th: Just ran down 39 from Ngaruawahia to Tuhikaramea Rd. Excellent condition - no probs at all. They have recently resealed the nasty corner just north of Cemetery Road, (Laxdon Rd intersection) making it much more user-friendly. They've used road carpet, so it's smooth and grippy. Not real rough and bouncy like it was before. 'Bout friggin' time too...
