We got to the Kopu bridge at 9:30 and there was only 1 car in the queue to cross, thats how quiet it was.

I let Eddie go first...It was a small car. I backed up a bit a jumped over it...No drama, left a bit of rubber mark on the bonnet, but she was happy as the traffic light was still green...

Further to this....
Heading up North tomorrow morning, Poutu Point, round the back of Rawene, back roads East and West, camping at Spirits Bay.
Next day, heading South, then East, West, with a run down 90 mile beach, back roads again to Kaipara, then home to the Waikato.....
If anyone is keen let us know.....I have a good route planned, there will be three of us.
DOC camping $7.50 or thereabouts, bring food, tent, bag....(the sleeping variety).....

Just got back from two huge mileage days up north....
Weather was great, company was great and we had a cool time.......

Awesome ride, nice work on the pics Mark, I didn't see you take those.

Just over 1300km's in 2 days for me, probably a few more for Mark, We did Hamilton to Cape Reinga and back, via the very, very, scenic route.

Mark, I think this trip is worthy of it's own thread rather than carrying on here.
