Just got the bike back from Cycletreads this evening. They fitted a new chain as well as new front and back sprockets. The front brake was also repaired. All this for such a reasonable price.
They said they put a larger sprocket on the rear, one tooth bigger and what a difference it seems to be making. I can't really notice a decrease in acceleration, but I can certainly feel its effects at higher speeds. At 100kph on the flat in 6th the bike is just below 8,000 revs, and it redlines at 12.5k. Compared to the older sprockets the bike would be hitting about 9,000 - 9,500 from memory at that speed in 6th.
All I need now is a long straight road where there is no chance of getting snapped to see at what speed it will top out. On the original sprockets it made it to and indicated 153kph redlining in 6th.
