    Get fucked to all hypocrites!

Everyone does things they know are potentially dangerous. The guy is obviously a moron, but to say it's unfortunate that he's not in a terminal condition is fuckin weak, low, gutless, and the kind of attitude that gets people killed in bar fights.

I've got more time for the guy riding than the likes of you Marty, and would offer him more assistance in anyway that I could.

    COCK!

Why would someone ride without a helmet? Especially at high speed?

Really, you do have a responsibility to your family and loved ones to take basic precautions - and no I am not saying the guy deserved it, because obviously he didn't, and bad mouthing him isn't going to help the situation is it?
But FFS wear a helmet - it is the most basic part of motorcycle saftey gear!

What I'm saying is that the "high speed" reporting sound a bit like media hyperbole to me.

I was thinking the same thing. How fast can you be going if ya don't bang your squash a few times when ya come off?

Hmmm...the media NEVER get details wrong, do they?
Were you there, Marty? Do you know something the rest of us don't? I actually took you to be more intelligent than that...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Especially if by McGrath Road they actually mean Magrath Ave (closest I could find in Paraparaumu) - anything above about 40 could be considered high speed, from what it looks like on street view. It does look like the sort of place one might take a bike for a quick test ride after fixing it - at Twin Cam Motorycycles, for example. I imagine it could be regular practice for a mechanic.

holy shit there's some vitriol on here.

if i went riding 'at high speed' (or at all actually) without a helmet and fell off, i would expect criticism to be rained down.

if the guy had have died, having fallen from his bike without wearing a helmet, and he died from head injuries, you would all be saying good fucking job.

IF he was sober, and pootling over to the next door neighbours at 5km/h and fell off, then i will leave KB.

Hmm! Went past there and saw the hi vis vests and stuff around about twin cam m/c's and the helio going over when we got home. Didnt put the two together. I suspect theres a bit more of a story in there some place but I doubt you could get up to any major speed around there. Its pretty short, not overly straight with rather uncertain seal.

Dont want to wish hurt on anyone really and to be fair I've serviced the bike and run up and down the drive to check things, I suppose anythings possible...

The most vitriolic part of the thread is your own thread title.

Regardless of the (unknown) circumstances, the guy is obviously an idiot. But wishing him dead on the strength of it?
