    Pfft.

I drive down the road flashing my cars headlights willy-nilly, 'warning' oncoming motorists of cops in the area.

Even when I know there's none in the area.

I get a lot of grateful waves from the other drivers when they slow down and go by .

    Suckers.

If he was genuinely concerned about the speed trap causing accidents why was this not reported to Police or the road controling authority in the first instance?
There is a correct procedure to have concerns addressed surely, without taking the law into your own hands or back chatting Police who are only following orders?

I think it was on KB I read of the same thing happening. Explanation was that the rider/driver flashed because they thought the other vehicle was going too fast, and the fact that he had just seen a speed camera indicated that it was an area with a high crash rate (Tui), so really he was doing his bit for road safety by warning the other vehicle of being on a 'dangerous' section of road and to watch their speed. Had to laugh, but I don't think you can argue with it.
