OP i just finished 3 month demerit suspension...its not that bad at all. 28 days is piece of piss realy....actualy my licence suspension was more like 4 months as i handed in my licence at the police station in september and found out month later that "it didnt count" as the lady at the counter wasnt "sworn" officer and had no authority to take if off me....yep cops cant even do shit like taking your licence from you properly sometimes.

You did the right thing. You are alive and no one got hurt. If you were in hospital now (or had run over a child), you would be wishing like mad you had only lost your license and paid a fine instead.
Just don't do it again eh? The consequence is a loss of life - and it may not be yours. It could be someone's child. Could you live with that?
