Baldyman's little trip to Port Waikato. (via Klondyke Road)

I hadn't been out for a while, what with Xmas and and all. So when I found I had some time this afternoon, I just had to get out for a ride.

Because of the time available and the "need" for some gravel roads, the Klondyke road seemed the best option. I had always gone from the Onewhero side towards Port Waikato so after going that way there, I decided to go the reverse on the way back, including Daff road which has some spectacular views.

    Overall around 150km's

    Nice ride, nice weather.

Mate, that woulda been tonnes of fun on the DR-Z.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

The last farm down Klondyke Rd, before the junction to Port Waikato Rd. You have to ride it slowly, paricularly if the occupiers are outside....Ask Taz... We did have a few issues going through there. I have done it a few times since and a wave helps but you still get daggers back.... It isn't a road you can ride fast anyway, but I think the dust creates a bit of a nuisance for them..
Looked like a great day for it...
