Why are all you ex DR650 owners selling your 9x0s?

Some of us in HB are wondering.

Me - cause we now have a "little person" (read sleep depriver) and my pillion is no longer able to join me out and about any more. Also I'm not getting anywhere near as far away from home any more.

Its an absolutely awesome bike for touring the SI and getting into the back country (the rougher the better) but for 1/2 days out the river bed or local trail ride it doesn't really work. It was a decision that took over a year for me to make and I'm still not entirely comfortable with it! I'm aiming for a completely different bike, a 450EXC to trail ride locally and do the occasional adv ride. No point in going back to a mid size adv bike - the 950 works perfectly well for that.

Don't you mean 'ex' DR650 riders? Some of us know perfection when we ride it, and don't need to change to a 9x0.

I couldn't touch the ground on one of them anyway.

There can be many twists & turns on the road to moto righteousness, many have seen the light & abandoned their sinful Suzuki ways, but then, in travelling the true path into the orange paradise have been dazzled by the awesomeness for a time, before following the good vibrations to the adventure motorcycling nirvana that is the LC4. Amen.
