    I am looking for...

    A motorbike for Leanne. She has her bike license but has not ridden for a long time. What I need is a bike that;
    • She can reach the ground on (she is about 5'2)
    • Is registered and WOFed
    • Not too heavy
    • Can do 100 km/hr on the open road
    • Is preferably a trail bike
    • Not too expensive

Do any of you know of a bike that suits this criteria that is for sale?

There's a 250 Honda traily on Trade me at present with luggage included for about $3500, will see if I can find the link.

Edit, it's a SL230, one girly owner for 6 years. $3500 reserve, $4k buy now.

My wife is the same size, she has a KL250Sherpa, what great wee bike, well manured, full size 21 front and 18 rear, DOHC, stainless exhaust etc.

We lowered it slightly for better footing and Ellen loves it, they should make a 650 version and I would buy one!!

Rosie's old Sherp was for sale for all of about 30 min before Devil snapped it up for his missus

Good options above, the other main contenders would be the Yamaha XT250 & XT225. The 08+ XT250 & the Sherpa do 100km/h the best, the DR200 does low & light the best.

    Cheers

Do the Keintech exhaust and carb changes and it is a beauty. My wife has one, as well as the Cagiva Raptor, but this gets the nod more often. Good manners, low and light. May not have the grunt of the 250's but it takes my fat 100+ (++) kg arse down the road at 100 kph. Will also do close to 300 k's on a tank, on the road.

    Your in Taz
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Thumbs up Sherpa ------has the edge

All the bikes presented are good ,in my opinion. But the Sherpa has the edge on them all .----SIX SPEED
    Digital Dash,including clock.
    Ultra sweet motor.
    Verry reliable.
Can be lowered further with "dogbone" operation on rear & lowering front shocks in clamps.(would apply to @ least ,some, others I spose)
Debaffle--ing makes a big difference to performance.

    DOWNSIDE
    Kawa parts are expensive, I.E.--new shock= $1300
Speedo sensor (magnet) easily broken, when front wheel removed.

Kawa Stockman is vertually the same, but no blinkers (or redgo) but could be considered @ the right price.
SEE ----Super Sherpa ,in "THUMPERS" section ADVRIDER.(GOOGLE --"SUPER SHERPA THREAD")
